It was nice to sleep in today and start lecture around 10. We learned about intertidal zones, invertebrates and vertebrates. After our lecture Yeltsy, Jessica, Janeane and I went to the beach to collect shells. Then we went to the aquarium called Cet-Mar. There we meet Arturo, a sea lions. Arturo is a vertebrate. My favorite was the baby sea turtle and the sun sea star. The Sun Sea Star live in the intertidal zone along with crabs. After the day we went to the old port and saw "Del Camaronero" which is a statue of a man who is on top of a shrimp. Shrimp have an exoskeleton and are arthropods, just like crabs. Sun sea star is an endoskeleton and has radial symmetry: it is in the pylum echinodermata, which means rough skin.
