Aquarium and lectures!

So much fun here at CEDO.  I am seriously having a blast.  These last few days have been great!  I am lucky enough to have been able to come for the last two years.  We had an awesome lecture yesterday given by Alicia, an intern here, and she talked about this Fin Whale skeleton.  I had heard about this Fin whale last year but something that I learned this year is that it is a female.  I don't remember hearing that last year, and also that she was a juvenile, if comparing her to human years she would be like a 10-12 year old girl, when she was beached.  That was very interesting to me.

Today, Dr. C. gave a lecture on the intertidal zones and also about Invertebrates.  They were very informational and it was very interesting.  I love the way that Dr. C teaches.  He knows what he is talking about and he loves it.  I really do love taking this class from him!  This lecture today really helped us know what to expect on all of our field trips to the intertidal zones.  So once we get there we will know what to look for and should be able to identify it.  It was a very awesome lecture today!

Here are a few pictures from the aquarium today! It was so much fun to go and see all the different animal life!  To the right is a picture of one of the turtles and to the bottom is a picture of a sun star.

So all in all it was a really awesome day!!!
