Another amazing day in Mexico! So far my experience gets better and better everyday. It started off by waking up around 8, getting ready for the day, and ate a healthy breakfast. We all had lecture at 9:30 which we thought today was a "lazy day" according to Zanna. Lol we learned about intertidals like hard substrate, vertical zonation, soft bottom and the limiting resources, as well as Poriferas, Cniderias, Platyhelminthes, Nematods, Mulluscas, Arthropodoas and last but not least my assigned phylum, Echinodermatas. When class ended Jessica, Lydia, Yeltsy and myself headed down to take a walk and as always.. I was collecting seashells!:) I never knew how much of a nerd I was with ocean findings until I came here. After an hour of searching, we came back to get ready for the aquarium. I noticed my nice red sunburn on my shoulders from all the sun. That means a nice tan in a couple of days!:) Whoohoo!! The aquarium ended up being so much fun! I held a couple sea urchins and sea stars, then got to touch several sea turtles which were the best. The sea lion "Arturo" was being very stubborn and wouldn't come near when I was around, but just seeing him so close made me that much more excited about this trip and now I can't wait to swim with over 2,000 of them! Coming back to get ready to go to dinner went by fast. I was already a little burned out but ready for more! We ate at Blue Dolphin which I think was the best place yet! Shrimp cocktail and a strawberry margarita to end my night. Today was a wonderful day and I know there is more to come!!!
